we stayed in the pasha star in august 2005 with our grandson and love it there that we returned again last year.
from the moment we arrrived we were made welcome even those we arrived at four o/ clock in the early hour. The manager remember us and were given a ice cold bottle of coke which i must say was most welcoming on our arrivel. the rest of the staff remember us too even to the night porter that took us to our room. we enjoy our time at pasha star you are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive the staff are family and go out of they way to help if they can. the rooms are clean. the food is good. there have entertainment three to four times aweek. the bus takes you to the beach and picks you up at the end of the day or you can lazy around the pool. if you are looking for a relaxing holiday then pasha star is for you.
i have just back my holliday to turkey again this year and i am returning again this time with my sister and her husband and some friends becase we love it there so much.
so to all the staff at pasha star see you on the 19th august 07
best wishes jayne and george salter

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
We went to Side on a late deal, knowing nothing about the place or the hotel, so we were a little apprehensive before we arrived. We had nothing to worry about! The hotel "Star", although quite basic, was very comfortable and carefully maintained and the staff went out of the way to make us feel welcome and cared for. The breakfasts became a bit monotonous but that didn't bother us at all as there is so much more going for the place.
Side is a town of contrasts. In 2 strides you step from the 21st century into the 2nd century B.C. It's an amateur archaeologist's dream! The beaches are long and sandy, well provided with sunbeds and parasols [for approx. £2.40 for 2 for the day] and waiter service from the bar. We loved shopping in the bustling town and although we had plenty of traders trying to sell us everything fron carpets to fake designer goods, we were never hassled or made to feel uncomfortable.
We would recommend the trips to Aspendos and Perge for the historically minded, a boat trip for those who like looking for dolphins and swimming in the turquoise waves, white-water-rafting for the adventurous and a visit to the water falls for everybody.
We found the money a little difficult at first but I don't think anyone took advantage of our ignorance....and for large purchases they are happy to accept Euros or Sterling.
We loved Turkey and its friendly and courteous people. We thought Side was delightful and we shall certainly return.....hopefully, very soon

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
Well, i got back from Turkey yesterday morning and i have to say it has been the best holiday of my life!
The Turkish people are lovely. Whether they are shop owners, waiters, locals they all say hello and talk to you.
The Hotel:
Gazipasa Star / Pasha Star is a very nice hotel all in all. It has to be one of the cleanest hotels i have ever been in. The staff are the most welcoming people ever! John, Sahli, Mehmet and Billy will all make a big impression on your holiday and are quite used to being thrown in the pool on average of twice a day. The drinks arent especially cheap but the atmosphere down at the pool/bar is so nice!
The only things that fault the hotel is...
The manager/owner, not the happiest bloke in the world. It may say on all the advertisements about Pasha Star that Air-Con is included and a safe box and a fridge...but that isnt strictly true. They are there, BUT, you have to pay extra for them when you get there. Yet even though it is absolutly boiling for the two weeks i was there i didnt have above and it didnt do any harm.
Also be prepared for the typical Turkish breakfast. Its nothing to shout about! it is some bread, with cucumber, tomatoes, goats cheese and olives. To accompany that is coffee. But i advise not to add the milk as it is goats milk and does not taste very nice. To get the bred toasted costs extra but there is normally free cheery jam and honey!A
